Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 11: The Last Story~

Like the title, this will be the last part for Wanderlust Hannah in Japan stories.  The trip was over a year ago anyway and I think I’ve already shared all the best part. Wow can’t believe it, it’s already been a year since I last travel, how sad~ but its okay because Wanderlust Hannah in Seoul, South Korea will happen in May!! I am really excited for this trip, like finally I will go there. *happy dance* Anyway let’s wait for that and talk about my last trip in Japan first.

Since I’ve already posted all the best places I’ve been while in Japan and this last part, I will talk about the game station or Japanese Arcades I believe the name is. One of the things to do while in Japan is definitely playing those claw machine or UFO catcher machine or Prizes games machine? (whatever they called it) because it’s really exciting.  How can I not, there’s like many stuffs to win from cute plushies to anime figures, chocolates to ice creams, wallets, gundams and other cool stuffs.

The Japanese Arcades can be easily found in Japan. Every time we went to play at the arcades, the inner child of me always wanted to win all those plushies but I obviously suck playing it. All of the games I’ve played I’ve only managed winning Selfie stick while in Osaka and Gumball machine while in Fuji. The rest of the plushies I’ve got were actually won by the cousins, they’re really good playing the prizes games. So even though this game is so tempting, exciting and all but if you got too carried away trying to win those stuffs from the machine you will totally go broke but if you got nowhere to spend your money go to the arcades and play!

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 10: Universal Studios Japan~

Its 2016 already, Happy New Year everyone. It’s almost a year since my trip to Japan and it’s the only trip that happened last year *me and my sad life*. Anyway today, I want to continue my Wanderlust Hannah in Japan post. I know it took forever for me to update this blog, I’m just currently busy with whatever.

Universal Studios Japan! OMG, I remember being so excited about it that I could barely sleep the night before and then in the morning I woke up so early to get ready. I really wish the weather will be good but it was raining that day. Bummer! But still I was so excited about USJ, nothing can stop me I said. When we arrived at USJ, it was still raining and the weather was so cold. We went around the shop there, doing a little bit of window shopping and hoping it will stop raining. There were so many people even though it was weekday that time. Since it was still raining, I actually end up buying a Spiderman Poncho.

So it was raining the whole time we were there. Boo hoo~ there are few places close and some games available but then the queue was just OMG. I’m actually not a patient one to wait in long queue and it was so cold. We went around the whole USJ but I stupidly missed The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! *face palm* I was carried away because of the mini games and I actually lost 3000 yen because of it. I didn’t even win anything. *slaps self* but then my cousin were sooooo kind to me and gave me the Elmo plushie they won. I love you guys~~~~ and thank you so much.

I’ve really tried to enjoy USJ that day regardless of the rain and cold weather. I wasn’t able to take pictures using my DSLR camera that day, so there aren’t many good pictures. Sorry for a boring story about USJ, I wasn’t really able to experience all the places. Note to self for next time; bring bento and make sure to get good sleep night before going there. It’s a big place and you need energy to enjoy and be crazy at USJ. So yaa, that’s my story and its okay, I will definitely come back to visit USJ someday.

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 9: Osaka~

It’s been awhile since I last posted about my Japan trip and that trip was like million yearrrrsss ago. Okay, no it was actually last February. There are actually still lots of stories I haven’t shared but yaa I’ve been seriously demotivated to write. It’s been months and the struggle is real. I’m still unemployed. People will say like ‘you’re not trying hard enough to find a job’ seriously shut up you people. You’re not in my shoes. Opps I’m suppose to share stories about my Japan trip.

Anyway, Osaka road trip was one of my favourite. Obviously every moment was precious and all are my favourite. By just breathing the air there makes me happy and everyday is definitely an adventure. I wish I just can go back now and feel the cold weather again. Here is so hot~. I’m actually blogging again because I saw these Malaysian celebrity going there and makes me missed Japan so much. On the other hand my sister was like ‘Why was your trip to Japan so boring?’ and I was like ‘Excuse me~ I am not a celebrity and I don’t have people taking my pictures in every angle 24/7’. Urghh how annoying. Come on, I was there for like 2 weeks it’s not like I can capture every moment.

Back to Osaka story, I was really excited to be there and I remember feeling like I was in an Ultraman Movie or something because the building there was a bit classic unlike in Tokyo, where it was more happening. (sorry for my lack of vocabulary I don’t know if happening is even the right word to describe it) . The trip to Osaka from Fuji was around 6 hours if I’m not mistaken. We were in Osaka for 2 nights, to be honest I don’t really remember about the entire trip but the highlights in Osaka was going to Dotonburi street. We play at this game station there and we won lot’s of plushies. Yay~ Thanks to the cousins! We also ate at this Malay restaurant called Malaysia Boleh and at the area there I saw Umeda Sky building. It was so cool and breathtaking. On the second day, we went to Universal Studios Japan and to think about it now my USJ trip was awesome but not so awesome. What was I thinking that day? Note to self, if there’s ever going to be next trip to Japan bring the squad and be crazy.

Osaka was really fun, It wasn’t boring. It was memorable. I definitely want to go back there one day and explore the city more. Hmm~ I guess I can just dream about it for now.

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 7: Snow Resort Fujiten~

Just a quick update, sharing some of the pictures I took when we went to Snow Resort Fujiten last February. I’m missing the cold weather, it’s seriously hot here in Brunei. I definitely want to go back there someday in winter, and next time let’s play the snow and try skiing.

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 6: Fujiyoshida~

It took me awhile to update about my Japan trip, I’m just feeling discouraged with the internet connection here and I’m bored being at home. Yes, its so boring plus being jobless and broke. it’s really depressing. Okay enough about that, let’s reminisce back my Japan trip and be happy.

Road trip to Fujiyoshida, to be honest I’m not really sure what was the exact name of the places we went but I believe it was Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi because that’s where Fuji Q highland is located and we stayed at Fuji View hotel at Katsuyama, Fujikawaguchiko-machi. Both are at the same place right? Haha this is a fail, seriously all I know during the trip was just being a passenger who goes where ever cousin brought us and being amaze all the time. I kinda don’t know the name, even if I try to remember I will forget after that, there are just so many names. I guess this is the bad travel blog ever? haha I don’t even know the places I went.

That day was another best day of my life, when I first saw the glimpse of Fuji mount, I was so thrilled. It feels like my heart about to explode with all the excitement and all. Too much feels I told you. And then there’s Fuji Q highland and those rollercoasters you can see from the road. How can you keep calm like that? Anyway, we arrived there around 12pm and we went to Fujiten snow resort first thing while waiting for 3pm for hotel check in. There at Fujiten, we went to see the snow, people skiing and taking photos. It was nice to be there and first time for me to see the real snow.

It was told that, it will be snowing that night but the snow never came. They even put salt on the road but boo hoo false alarm weather forecast. We stayed at Fuji View Hotel and the view there is something to die for. The hotel look classic from outside but the room was okay and nice. The view at the back of the hotel is Lake kawaguchi and it was seriously breathtaking. I couldn’t get over the view, it’s just so beautiful. I really wish we stayed there longer. Imagine it now during spring time, must be really beautiful with all those sakura blooming here and there.

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 5: Shin-Ōkubo Korea Town ~

Shin-Ōkubo Korea Town is one of the favourite places that I visited when in Japan. I was really excited with the Korean feels around there. Korean Celebrities pictures and merchandise are everywhere there. It’s literally heaven for the KPOP fans.

The street was full of KPOP goods and merchandise shops. It was fun to see lots of KPOP around there. What I saw, there are a lot of JYJ, TVXQ and other SMTOWN artist merchandise being sell there. A lot of Big Bang too, some Infinite and etc. I can’t really find the stuff I want; I was actually looking for Infinite stuffs but there are not much or maybe because I didn’t go at the right place. Most of the shops were playing Infinite songs that day tho, because Infinite was having concert there. Sobs I was there but yaa I wasn’t able to go. Next trip goals must go to a concert.

So that day, we were only there for an hour or two. I was excited but I didn’t buy anything there probably because I’m not into fan goods and merchandise anymore. If I’m my 16 years old self, I probably buy lots of things there.

Korea Town is recommended for KPOP fans and those who enjoy Korean food. Hmm I just wish I can eat those delicious looking Korean food there, apparently it’s not Halal. Boo hoo.

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 4: Kawatsura Strawberry Farm~

Road trip to Strawberry farm was my favourite while in Japan. It was my first time going for strawberry picking. We went to Kawatsura Strawberry Farm which was located in Chiba. I am always excited about road trip, it’s really fun and it was nice to be out of Tokyo.  Along the way you can see Japanese houses which were so pretty and cute. You can also see their farm and greenhouses. It was really cool.

When we arrived at the Kawatsura Strawberry farm there were already many people there so the staff asked us to go to the another farm. At the other farm, there weren’t many people yet so we don’t have to queue for long time to pay. The fee if I’m not mistaken was 1,600 yen per person for adult. The staff  briefs us a little about the greenhouse (which was actually funny because we don’t really understand what she was saying. Oh well, “Nihongo wakarimasen”; I don’t understand Japanese) but yaa the rule is eat all you can there but strawberries cannot be taken home.

The strawberry farm area was big and there were so many greenhouses. The strawberry picking is indoor greenhouse. The strawberries were all delicious! It was the first time for me to eat those very sweet strawberries.  Big, small, cute, juicy and red all were delicious and I ate a lot. I actually surrendered after eating from 2-3 greenhouses. Now that I’m back, I really want those juicy yummy strawberries.

I really recommend those who will go to Japan, to visit the strawberry farm. It was worth it and really fun~

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 3: Harajuku~

Wanderlust Hannah’s stories continue, I’m going to share about Harajuku today. It’s a place for fashion lovers for sure, the place is really cool and awesome and everything nice. There were so many people there that time even though it was weekdays; the streets were busy and crowded.

The shops and all were really awesome. The clothes there is really love! I wish they sell plus size stuff tho. Cute stuffs are definitely everywhere at Harajuku too.  I wish I can just buy all the cute stuffs there, you know I’m really a sucker for cute stuffs but yaa I need to control the inner shopaholic instinct of mine because it was just the 4th day being in Japan that time but to think of it, I shop the most there. Well, it’s a perfect place for me I guess, affordable and just simply my style.

A little incident that happened to me while in Harajuku was when I shop at H&M, the cashier guy apparently punched 3 times for 1 item that I bought and I paid more than I should. I didn’t realize that time because I wasn’t really good at counting Japanese yen yet. It was confusing. Luckily while at home I noticed something was off with my balance and we just went back there in the evening to settle the problem. It was all okay in the end they returned my money back. Moral of the story, always check your balance and receipt carefully.

I really enjoy myself while in Harajuku, I was so happy and excited. Definitely I want to go there again and if there’s next time, let’s buy lots and lots of cute stuff there.

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 2: Cat Café Hapineko~

I’ve always wanted to visit a Cat café, and since I was in Japan it was obviously in my places-to-go lists.  My cousin brought us to a cat café in Shibuya called “Hapineko”. I was so excited while travelling by train to Shibuya that day, and it was a really good day too. The day before was raining and very cold.

The cat café, was really awesome and look so cozy . The cats are all cute, squishy and fluffy. Some of them were actually looking grumpy tho, probably because they are still tired or maybe they just woke up.

When going to a cat cafe, you need to follow some rules before entering. There are some cats that cannot be touch. The best thing, you can feed the cats there and that’s when the cats eagerly come and surround you. You can purchase the cat food from the counter.

Apparently we were there for only half an hour, such a short time but it was okay. A little note for next time, “please choose to stay a bit longer”. I recommend for people who especially love cats, to choose 1 hour or more because half an hour will not be enough. To be honest I was actually busy texting my friends about being in a cat café that day. I was really excited being there and gave them some live updates. Haha . Lesson learnt when being at some place, please focus rather that texting because you might just missed things out.

Wanderlust Hannah in Japan – Part 1

Japan.  Japan. Japan! It’s been almost 2 weeks after my trip to Japan and I’m still talking about Japan with everyone and even posting the pictures I took in Japan on instagram every day. I actually been wanting to post about my Japan trip here, but I was unable to blog because I can’t stop obsessing about Japan. My trip there was amazing. I just love it. I never thought I will go there first before South Korea. As you all know, Japan is one of the expensive country in the world and going there with little money is actually a bit risky but I got lucky because my cousins are there. My mom actually went there first before me, after her trip she was always excited talking about Japan. Me as a KPOP fan obviously wanted to go to South Korea first but then mom, my excited mom was so awesome and sponsored the ticket flight to Japan for me. Obviously I can never say no, I was so thrilled.

Japan is a place that I definitely want to go back again, in fact after just a day coming back from there I was wishing to be there again. It’s funny that I didn’t feel homesick while being there or maybe because 2 weeks weren’t enough for me to be homesick. Talking more about Japan, the country was really wonderful and I really love it. Wait, did I just said that again? Haha I got so much feels. I really enjoy being there, it was fun.

2 weeks in Japan feels so short, during the time there we went to a lot of places in Tokyo from Shinagawa to Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, Ginza, Odaiba and other places I don’t know what the name was. I especially love our road trip to the strawberry farm around Chiba area I think and we also went to Fuji and Osaka. Mount Fuji was breath taking, and it looks like vanilla ice cream just because it was so white that time or was it because I was craving for ice cream all the way during the trip? Haha.

Shopping was fun especially if you have lots of money but in my case I need to limit and control myself because of my limited budget. but I’m really grateful that I was with amazing people, I feel blessed because my aunt and cousins are awesome.

One of my favourite things to do while I was in Japan was playing at the game station (or whatever they called it..sorry I’m not sure) it was a place full of prizes game or I think they called it the UFO catcher and my favorite place was Round 1 at DiverCity Tokyo. It’s actually a place where you lost your money without realising it but it was very addictive you can never stop till you get the prizes especially with all those cute fluffy plushies. Believe me you yourself know you will lose your money but you will still play it till the end anyway. xDD

There are lots of things to talk about Japan, I will post more at another post and this post is already long. Just imagine if you meet me in real life, I will talk nonstop. xD
